This, being my first news post, should hold some sort of significance. I should write something short and witty, to encourage the most responses when people visit my page. Shouldn't I?

Upon dwelling what to write, I found myself contemplating why users make news posts. Some use it as a blog, narrating their day to day humdrum activities. Others simply type something silly, accompanied by a goofy photo of sorts. But there is one thing that everyone does exactly the same, when writing a news post...

Everyone wants responses. It's a microcosm of Newgrounds, really. A popularity contest. Every user tries, to an extent, to become more popular, being it through flash, reviews, or posts. Though the most popular users are those who try to become known seemingly NOT on purpose. Although naturally, every bit of infamy or fame is intentional. And this doesn't just apply to Newgrounds, since Newgrounds is simply a microcosm of life, only a bit more specific. Everyone wants to drive a nice vehicle so they can be noticed, be it by the opposite sex, or just to impress everyone in general. Everyone has the basic desire to look attractive, since lets be honest, the more aesthetically pleasing you are, the more people will notice. Everyone wants to make lots of money, so they can buy the things that will make them be noticed, and attract like minded people.

And why do I type this?

For the comments, of course.
